What is Amitriptyline Hydrochloride?

Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant used to treat depression, chronic pain, and certain neurological disorders. It increases the levels of norepinephrine and serotonin in the brain, improving mood and reducing pain signals. Despite its effectiveness, its use is often limited by sedative and anticholinergic side effects.
