What is Fexofenadine HCL?

Fexofenadine is a non-sedating second-generation antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria. It works by blocking peripheral H1 receptors without crossing the blood-brain barrier, reducing the likelihood of drowsiness.

Uses of Fexofenadine HCL :-

  • Seasonal allergies (hay fever)
  • Chronic urticaria

Common Side Effects :-

  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Back pain

Precautions & Warnings :-

  • Avoid taking with fruit juice (may reduce absorption).
  • Safe for use in children above 6 years.
  • Use cautiously in kidney disease.
