What is Lignocaine?

Lignocaine is another name for Lidocaine, especially used in India and the UK, and refers to the same compound with identical pharmacological action. It acts by inhibiting sodium ion movement across neuronal membranes, providing localized anesthesia. Used extensively in medical and dental settings, Lignocaine is also found in topical forms to relieve pain, itching, or burning, and is utilized in various emergency cardiac interventions.

Common Side Effects :-
