What is Losartan Potassium?

Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and decreasing the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes vasoconstriction. It is widely used in managing hypertension, protecting kidneys in diabetic patients, and improving outcomes in heart failure.
