What is Pantoprazole Sodium?

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to decrease stomach acid and treat acid-related disorders. It is effective in healing esophagitis and preventing ulcers. It offers a more targeted action with lower interaction potential compared to some other PPIs.

Uses of Pantoprazole Sodium :-

  • GERD
  • Erosive esophagitis
  • Ulcers

Common Side Effects :-

  • Nausea
  • Flatulence
  • Headache

Precautions & Warnings :-

  • Monitor for hypomagnesemia in long-term use.
  • May reduce absorption of B12.
  • Do not chew or crush delayed-release tablets.
