What is Sertraline?

Sertraline is a widely prescribed SSRI used to treat depression, OCD, panic attacks, and social anxiety. It works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, helping stabilize mood and reduce anxiety. It is considered safe and effective for long-term use under medical supervision.

Uses of Sertraline :-

  • Depression
  • OCD
  • Panic and anxiety disorders

Common Side Effects :-

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Sexual dysfunction

Precautions & Warnings :-

  • Avoid combining with MAO inhibitors.
  • May take a few weeks for full effect.
  • Monitor for suicidal tendencies in early treatment.
